The library will be closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence
Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas.
***Notice***
Beginning February 15, please note the following
borrowing and overdue policy overview.
Fines
The primary purpose of fines is to have the overdue item(s) returned to the library.
Fines are $.25 a day or $1.00 a week per item. Borrowing privileges are automatically suspended when your unpaid
fees accumulate to $5.00. Interlibrary loan overdue fees are set by the lending library and will be collected from
the borrower by the Zadoc Long Free Library along with a handling fee of $5.00.
A first notice reminder phone call will be placed after the materials are due. If a second notice is necessary,
that notice will be a bill for the cost of the replacement of the material and a processing charge of $5.00. Patrons
with outstanding library materials will be denied library privileges until the matter is resolved.
Loan Periods
The loan period for books, and other material is two (2) weeks. Interlibrary loans are due by date indicated
by the lending library. Material may be renewed if it is not a new title and there is no waiting list. In fairness
to all our patrons, new titles may be loaned for two weeks with no renewal.
Reserves
Books may be reserved by patron by phone, email, or in person. Patrons will be notified by telephone, or email
when the materials are available. Reserved material will be held for three business days before being put back
on the shelf or given to the next person in line.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is available for materials that we do not hold. Interlibrary loan material will be held for
1 week after notification. If it is not picked up it will be returned at the end of the week. If item is requested
again, patron will be responsible for the return postage. If patron decides they do not want the material requested
and does not contact the library within 24 hours to cancel the request, the patron will be responsible for return
postage.
A copy of all library policies is posted on the bulletin board by the back door or you can go to our policies page and click on circulation for more info.
Thank you!
